Adam Godwin
Head Coach

Adam Godwin assumed his duties as the second head coach in the history of the men's soccer program on March 19, 2018.

Godwin is no stranger to the Lynchburg area. He is a 2005 graduate of Liberty University with a Bachelor of Science degree in sport management. The Hereford, England native was a four-year member of the Flames men's soccer team. Godwin served as a team captain and earned Big South First Team All-Conference and VaSID Second Team All-State honors. After LU, Godwin played professionally in England and with the Atlanta Silverbacks of the USL.

Godwin brings over eight years of coaching experience, including experience as an assistant coach with both the Flames and Lynchburg College women's soccer programs. He also has seven years of administrative experience in the Liberty athletic department. He served as the assistant director of operations for football and is currently the director of alumni relations for athletics. Godwin has also been the president and owner of the Adam Godwin Soccer Academy in Lynchburg since 2008.

Grant Collier
Assistant Coach

Grant Collier joins the men's soccer staff after a four-year career with the WildCats. Collier played in 70 career games and finished with five goals and two assists for 12 points.

Collier has been a coach for Amherst County High School. He has also been a head coach for a CYU U19 team.

Collier graduated with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Mathematics. He has a Master's of Arts in Teaching and is a full-time math teacher for Amherst County Public Schools.

His brother Austin is a goalkeeper for the WildCats.

Mark Bowman
Assistant Men's Soccer Coach/Head of Performance Analytics

Mark Bowman joins head coach Adam Godwin's staff as Goalkeepers' Coach/Head of Performance Analytics. Bowman brings with him several years of NCAA Division I coaching experience at Liberty University and a stint at MLS franchise Sporting Kansas City.

Bowman grew up overseas as he spent 15 years living in North Africa playing soccer from the age of 4. After high school, he played for two years at the University of Valley Forge in Phoenixville, Pa as the starting goalkeeper in his freshman and sophomore years. Following that, Bowman spent the next two seasons as an assistant coach with UVF with a focus on training goalkeepers. In January 2012, he moved to West Africa for seven months to coach a U-17 academy team.

In the spring of 2013, Bowman transferred to Liberty working with the men's team as a student manager focusing on stat tracking and opponent scouting. In the summer of 2014, he completed an internship with Sporting Kansas City working with youth soccer outreach.

Bowman graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Sports Management from Liberty in 2015 and transitioned into a volunteer assistant coach with the men's team. In the spring of 2017, he was an assistant coach at Appomattox County High School and helped the team reach the 2A State semifinals taking over as head coach in 2018.

Bowman holds a D-Level coaching license and Level 8 referee certification with the US Soccer Federation along with a Goalkeeper Level 1 Diploma from United Soccer Coaches.

Greg White
Assistant Coach

Greg White is a former Liberty University Men’s Soccer player from Nova Scotia, Canada. He red shirted his first year, and went on to play center back and midfield for the next four years, holding the title of Captain for his last two years for the Flames. He made First Team All Conference in 2012, and Big South Conference All Tournament Team in 2009 and 2011. In addition, he started every game for all four years he played.

As an assistant coach, Greg led the Jefferson Forest Cavaliers JV Team in the spring of 2012 and he went on to lead as head coach for the spring of 2013. Since then, Greg has continued to pursue his passion for the game through coaching various camps at Liberty and other local programs as well as one-on-one training. As he continues to pursue his love for soccer, Greg is currently playing with Cville FC, a UPSL semi-pro team in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Samuel McGarrity
Assistant Coach

Samuel McGarrity is in his fourth season on the sidelines for the WildCats.  He joined the Randolph coaching staff after four successful years a midfielder on the squad.

He ranks second in program history in games played (78) and was a member of the 2011 ODAC championship squad.

In addition to his on-field experience, McGarrity holds a United States Soccer Federation National D license. He has coached the junior varsity team and was an assistant for Rustburg High School's varsity team over the last two years. Previously, he assisted Robious Middle School's soccer team.

McGarrity also gained experience working at soccer camps and has been a counselor for the University of Richmond's summer soccer camp and Powhatan Soccer Association's technical skills camp.

A 2013 graduate of Randolph, McGarrity will assist head coach Bryan Waggoner as a volunteer.
